Dear Maureen, I wanted to share a memory from 1973, when my friends and I were about 8 years old. Whenever "The Morning After" came on the radio, we were completely spellbound. During recess out on our usually chilly school parking lot in Northern Illinois, we would stand together and do our absolute best to sing just like you. As far as we were concerned, we nailed it and were ready for Carnegie Hall! So thanks for the music and thanks for the joy. It has been a big, big part of my life, and I am really grateful to you. Thank you for giving us a song that brought so much warmth to a windy Illinois playground. Sending so much love.
